Towards the end of his professional journey with Ernst & Young Consulting in Milan (1990s) as a Senior Consultant on several ERP System international roll-outs, Davide Laghi became very passionate about best practices and intuitively perceived a bright future of growth for Shared Service Organisations.

Shortly thereafter, he relocated to the UK to begin mapping out his ideas and has since gained over a decade of practical hands-on Shared Services experience benefiting several successful international start-up implementations in the UK and Germany. Success in hand, Davide’s career grew rapidly as responsibilities shifted from Regional Team Leadership to Senior Leadership.

With 15 years of practical Leadership experience in international Finance, Shared Services and Technology implementation, Davide has developed, refined and successfully implemented his own leading-edge methodology called the Model of Operational Excellence (MOPEX®) used for integrating aspects of Cultural Transformation, Performance Measurement and Information Technology. Davide is also a trained Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt, and an innovative thought leader who has lucratively developed and driven Shared Services operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Davide achieved his Masters Degree in Economics and Financial Accounting from the Cattolica University of Milan and currently resides in Glasgow-Scotland, where he is a Member of GlobalScot and Chairman of the Scottish Shared Services Forum committed to helping Shared Services professionals learn from each other and achieve operational excellence.
